In a nutshell.... it's capturing both photography and highlight video coverage as one person (or two if you have a 2nd shooter in your package). I switch between shooting stills (photo) and video to capture all of your moments for both. Photo will always take priority (meaning, I shoot the photos first, then switch quickly to video) to make sure that we have all the shots to tell your story. It is possible (and very advantageous in many ways!) to produce a highlight film while not sacrificing photography coverage in any way.
I also offer a package that includes having a dedicated videographer as part of the team if you prefer.
For a highlight film, we pull tiny clips of footage from all of the main events and details of your wedding. We edit them together into a 3-5 minute cinematic style video set to music, showing the "highlights" to tell the whole story of the day. Audio highlights (vows/speeches) can be included as well if we have a dedicated videographer in your package.
Ultimately the decision is yours! It really depends on what is important for you as the end result! If you want a full length film (10-20 minutes) and maybe some extra things like all the footage of your ceremony, etc... then you may want to consider having a totally separate video team. In that case, I am more than happy to send you some great referrals!!
But here are the benefits to having just ONE dedicated team there to capture your day (both photo and video):
What we should do is have a conversation about what you really hope to capture. That way, I can help you make the best possible decision on how much coverage you need!
