I've been quiet for a bit. Quietly observing and absorbing. Learning. And running.

Not running away. I've been running toward... Something. For as long as I can remember.

It feels like we've all been running for so, so, so long. Running both to... and from. Running hard and fast, or even quiet and slow, not always feeling like we're making ground.

Sometimes I forget to stop and rest. Sometimes I think there is no way I can go on. The path is too long, the hill is too great. Sometimes I feel I may simply collapse.

But then I remember, that if I just look to my side, there will be someone there. Running right along with me. I have many running companions, each for a different road. Some push me forward, some pull me along. Our race may not be the same. Our finish lines certainly won't be. But our sweat, tears, triumphs, and joy... they intermingle, and are indistinguishable. And for them, I am eternally grateful.

So I'll just continue my race. Running away from fear, from hate. Running towards hope, towards peace, towards positivity, towards joy, towards love.

And if you ever feel alone or like you may collapse, just look to your side, friend. I'll be there, running with you, cheering you on. 👏🏻❤️
