They’re the kind of couple you cheer for, the kind you find yourself saying “awe” over and uncontrollably smiling at. She’s relaxed and kind (and drop dead gorgeous), and moves with a grace and ease. He’s smiley and giddy and the most polite gentle soul, in spite of his strong exterior. He’s her best friend, and she’s his. Together, they’re magnetic, their personalities are contagious…and they make people feel welcome, like old friends. They’re the people you just want to be around. My kind of people. And every single one of their friends & family will tell you the same. Mallory & Andrew’s incredibly romantic, insanely beautiful, classic Windmill Winery Barn Wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. And I couldn’t be happier, because these two…? They deserved every minute of this amazing day.
It was hot, as most late summer days in Arizona are. But the garden was green and gorgeous as it always is at Windmill Winery. And the Barn was cool and wrapped in the soft amber glow of the bistro lights. But what really made this party? The people, of course. I can’t say enough about the staff at Windmill, and how they help even the most harried day move with ease. (Weddings have a way becoming hectic, even when you least expect it – that’s why you want the best creative team of vendors on your side… so you can relax and enjoy your day!)
And then there’s Mallory & Andrew’s family and friends. The kind of people you want to sit on the porch with, shoot the breeze with, and drink a glass of lemonade with. Every single one of them… kind, helpful, down-to-earth, and of course, ready to hit the dance floor. Basically everything I would have ever imagined in a tribe that would surround these two.
So how did they, their crew, and this day all come together? State Farm. Yes, the insurance company. Mallory & Andrew met when they were both working there, and got put on the same team. But that’s not all… her Mom works there, their close family friends work there. If I had to guess, I’d say about a quarter of their guests work there too. To the point that I am seriously considering switching my policy. Haha! State Farm may have a future in the match-making business if the whole insurance thing doesn’t work out.
Mallory & Andrew, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my soul for being the most kind, genuine, and caring people. Ever. I adore you and your families and I so appreciate how welcome you made us feel! And I wish you a very long, very happy life together with your very best friend. 💕
